OVERHEAD

What's wrong with this picture?

Forehand

Placement is more important than power!  When hitting an overhead make sure to hit the ball to the open area of the court (preferably an angle).  If the open area is a small one then it is wise to take a little pace off and just place the ball.  Many times people hit the overhead as hard as they can and will make errors when they have to hit to a small area.

The picture in the upper right hand corner of this page shows a gentleman who is leaning backwards to hit an overhead.  This results in loss of power and balance.
