Many times it is easy to tell where a person is going to serve because of their toss. Normally, it's pretty easy to read your opponent after they've served a few service games. By watching their toss you can pretty regularly guess where they are going to serve. To make sure your opponent can't read your serve, try to toss the ball in the exact same spot for every different serve you have. It's tough, but if mastered can become very effective. The picture in the upper right hand corner of this page shows a female with great form with the exception that her forward foot is caught behind her back foot. This will result in loss of balance and power. |
