An interesting way to get more power on your volley is to see if you can stop the racket head right at impact. By trying to stop the racket head at impact the wrist is engaged and you'll find that you'll get a little extra "pop" on the ball. From the picture in the upper right hand corner of this page you'll notice that the female is stepping with the incorrect foot while hitting the volley. This results in a reduction in power. |
